My partner, myself and our 6 year old daughter travelled in a very comfortable luxury minivan. As Hai is a local to Mekong, he could give a lot of information on the places we visited. We experienced first hand what life is like on the Mekong River, sampling plenty of local produce. From the delicious coconut candies to seeing how they make their rice noodles. My most memorable meal was at an ancient house on return from Mekong. Simple fresh produce prepared by a large family in beautiful surroundings. Wonderful hospitality. We took boats, rode bicycles, strolled through incredible markets. It was such an adventure!! An unforgetable experience that we will never forget. Our guide Antran was amazing, she shared all of the local fruits with us and took great care of us the entire time, It was just so amazing, Antran and our skipper were so kind and generous, they shared all the local history and we got so close to the local people and felt all of their love in their food. The quality of this tour is just amazing and they were so presence all the time. At the end of our tip, we were invited home to celebrate the tradition of honouring their/our ancestors. We were pleasantly surprised to arrive in Can Tho to realise it was a personal breakfast at the floating markets was a unique experience and we loved it. Very well organised tour, smooth, and just as the itinerary explains. The early morning pickup from our hotel in HCM meant we were able to see the market at its busiest. Tour didn’t feel rushed, nor did we feel too long was spent at one destination. Great lunch on Con Son island where we got to experience the countryside. Able to prepare our own desert so was like a private cooking class. Antran our tour guide was incredibly friendly and kind, with great English. On our journey up the Mekong Delta we visited lots of places, had boat journeys, Island visits, horse and cart ride. Saw coconut candy made, tasted honey tea and local fruits and had a very nice 5 course meal. On both nights, at Can Tho and Chau Doc we stayed in stayed in lovely hotels one with a roof top pool. On the 3rd day we were dropped at the doc to catch our speed boat to the Cambodian border which was a pleasurable experience. Our driver was also very the trip was really good. The only problem was a lack of communication before the trip. Once the money was paid I got a receipt but then nothing for weeks. I then got an itinerary but again very little communication. Sinhbalo offered a great itinerary packing in loads of the area’s highlights at a very reasonable price. They responded to all of my emails quickly and were easy to deal with. The tour itself was excellent, including a great mix of lots of different boat trips, opportunities to see local life and industries, fantastic scenery and overnight hotel stays in large towns too. Our guide Ngan Danh was so knowledgeable and friendly, also acting as our unofficial trip photographer and sending us all his photos. Vi valgte 3 timersturen og blev på ingen måde skuffet! Ud over det flydende marked sejlads der også en tur op i en mindre kanal hvor en nudelfabrik besøges. En del turister, men alligevel oplevelse at prøve at lave sine eget rispapir og nudler. Snyd ikke dig selv for oplevelsen med at have en engelsktalende guide med 15$ pengene er givet super godt ud, da turen bliver krydret med en masse viden om livet i og omkring floden, samt i al almindeligvis - vores guide var lærerstuderende og var helt sikkert med til at gøre turen ekstra spændende og humoristisk-Bådens skipper, styrede båden trygt og sikkert. We are in our 70’s and we joined two young ladies from Germany who had also booked with Susan. The tour from start to finish was amazing with Susan modifying some things because of our age and yet the young ladies still got to do what they booked. The accommodation is delightful and extremely comfortable with air conditioning, private en suite, wifi and any other things required to make you comfortable. The first day was a bike ride to visit dozens of attractions near Susan’s home. Incense making factory, duck farm, agriculture, Khmer Buddhist Temple, and finally the food markets to buy food to cook that evening by Susan and us. Delicious meal. Up and ready at am to visit the floating markets and eat breakfast there! Amazing food and experience. Then about 2 hours being shown around the Mekong Delta tributaries, stopping occasionally to see more interesting sites like the cacao farm, the dragonfruit farm and much more. Susan, her parents and daughter Kem were extremely welcoming and hospitable. One of the best tours we have ever done during our many years of travel. It takes 2 hours to reach the delta and 2 hours to come back. The tour consisted of a boat ride on the Mekong river then a lunch, a canoe ride, etc. A totally missable tour. No point spending so much time just to take a boat ride and lunch. SUGGEST NOT TO WASTE TIME ON THIS TOUR. She was fantastic!! We did the 2 day trip of Mekong Delta, including a night in Can Tho. It was a small group of 4 people, plus driver and guide. At first the guide annoyed me a lot with his constant babbling and joking - then again, the tour starts early and I am not a morning person. He calmed down as well. The cultural sights and sides of the trip are to be recommended our guide Huy told us a lot about life in Mekong Delta, about Buddhism, social behavior, language, food, history, the markets etc pp. I enjoyed that a lot!! The sales events are not that thrilling. But you can cope with it for the beauty of nature and in insight of Vietnamese life in this do the trip with the bicycle. It’s really worth it. Be aware it’s quite a lot of time in the car - but we had a super driver and felt safe all the time. Be aware sales events are included but it’s not really that pushy as many described it here. We didn’t buy anything and that was fine. Some parts were really interesting, thanks to stay at Can Tho was nice - foreigners are still a bit strange to some inhabitants, English is not that common and as everywhere in Vietnam foods and markets are fantastic!! We enjoyed this part of the trip a lot. The hotel 4 star choice is not really what you would expect according to European standards but ok for one night. I wish we could understand our tour guide more clearly, but overall it was an amazing experience. I definitely recommend this tour.
